Our Team

Take Action Ministry is a Non-Profit Company intended to give structure to and provide a vehicle for mobilizing people who want to express their faith through acts of kindness – bridging the gap between those in need and those with the hearts, time and/or material resources to help.

Since 2011, we have been involved in various projects in the impoverished rural communities of Hammanskraal and Maubane. We work to equip key individuals and organizations to bring transformation to their communities by impacting the lives of children attending Early Childhood Development and After School Programmes.

In all that we do, we strive to uphold the following values:

Our Culture at Take Action is as follows:

Board of Directors

We are registered as a Non-Profit Company (NPC) with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC). We are governed by a Board of Directors consisting of a minimum of 3 members at any given time. Our Board helps us by giving advice, direction, accountability and prioritizing our vision, mission and values.

Operations Team

While the members and roles of this team are subject to change, its purpose remains: to carry out the day to day tasks of Take Action Ministry. These tasks include:

  • Managing the logistics around the distribution of food and other donations
  • Meeting with our Partner Centres, assessing and reporting on their needs and progress
  • Offering our Partner Centres financial and spiritual guidance and encouragement to finding a way forward for their centre
  • Communicating with sponsors, donors, volunteers and partners through different channels (social media, letters, meetings, emails, phone calls)
  • Project management and basic administrative tasks
  • Financial management and book keeping

Get Involved

We all have different talents and strengths. However big or small they might seem; every individual has a role in sharing God’s Love to orphaned and vulnerable children. Each of us can experience how, by just making ourselves available to Him, God will extend and multiply our capacity far beyond what we could have anticipated. Individuals or Organizations can become involved in any of the following capacities:

Volunteer – the gift of your time in volunteering at any of our events or Action Days are priceless. Visit our Facebook page for upcoming volunteer opportunities or subscribe to our Newsletter to stay up to date.

Professional Services – the skills of Lawyers, Architects, Health Professionals, Builders, Project Managers, etc. are always required on an ad-hoc or more frequent basis. Contact us on +27 73 971 8624 or esther@takeaction.org.za if you are interested to help.

Financial Support– we have both once-off projects and on-going operational needs that require financial support on different levels. We are registered as a Public Benefit Organization (PBO) and are therefore able to provide Section 18A Tax Certificates for any contributions made to our Ministry. Visit our donation page for more info on how to give.

Did you know that it only costs R100/$10 to feed a child for a WHOLE month?

Take Action Ministry has been in partnership with ForAfrika since 2013, providing just over 900 children a nutritious bowl of fortified porridge every month at 17 Partner Centres.

Packed with 75% of the daily nutrients needed for a healthy diet, this fortified porridge has been a crucial source of nutrition for these children that helps them to learn, play and grow healthy.

Because of our joint fundraising efforts, we can provide this porridge at the low price of R100/$10 per month per child. Do you want to be part of this essential service? See how easy it is to give on our Donation page or just buy your coffee through us! It’s that simple to make a BIG difference in a child’s life!
